Works in Progress

Projects Dan is currently Creating

New Project

Graphite drawing of a World War II B-17 plane called “Times A Wastin'” with its “Flyboy” crew. Once the original graphite is complete, then I go back through each section and critique each detail prior to completion. Dan’s completed graphite of the “Times A Wastin’ Crew” of a B-17 from the 91st Bomb group , 401st Squadron, 8th Air Force, which was based in England from 1942-1945. Several crews served on this plane, however we do not know specifically these 10 crew members in this art work. We would greatly appreciate if anyone knows the names of these crew members, that they contact us through this page, so we can list them accordingly. The plane was based at Bassingbourn England and did not return from a mission over Germany on April 8, 1945.

“If Walls could Talk”

This project is a graphite on a 48″ x 72″ canvas of the Old State Hospital in Traverse City, Michigan that has been renovated in part –now called the Traverse City Commons. This is a series showing the progress of the project. Once the drawing is complete, then I go back through piece by piece to critique every detail. The last picture is the final finished product.
