Description
Also known as the ‘whistling swan”, Tundra Swans are the only native swan in the East. They are 48″-55″ tall and inhibit Artic tundra areas and winter on marshy lakes and bays. They breed in Alaska and for northern Canada east to Baffin Island and winter from southern Alaska south to Nevada, Utah, Baja California and on the mid-Atlantic Coast. Rarely do they winter on the Gulf coast of Texas, also occassionally on the Great Lakes. Photo-R. Berdan. Original 24″ x 48″ sold at Crooked Tree, 2012.
